Kids' Winter Art Camp 2011
Come inside from the cold and join us! Children have a blast drawing and painting winter inspired creations, complete with glitter, jewels, clay, ribbon and more! Students end the week with a wonderful art show of all of their work.
During the first hour of camp each day we will work on a drawing or painting project inspired by our wintry theme. Then it's time for a short break or relax inside and eat our snacks. During the second half of class, students will make winter crafts out of clay and other great materials and engage in movement, music and theater.We may also sneak in a cooking/baking activity. Four hours of creative energy...please send your child with extra snacks or lunch!

Your child can begin at any session, and most classes offer "drop-in-for-a-day" options. Exceptions on suggested ages can be made on an individual basis. Please inquire.
Kids in the Kitchen, a Cooking Experience with Chef Amy Thursdays, 3:30pm-5:30pm HOLIDAY SESSION: 12/1, 12/8, 12/15 suggested ages 7-14
THIS SESSION WILL FEATURE PREPARATION & COOKING OF HOLIDAY FARE!
Hands ON cooking for Kids: teaches kids how to taste and cook their own wholesome food. Under the guidance of Chef Amy, the class will cook something special each day from scratch with attention to knife skills, kitchen and food safety, professional kitchen behavior, measuring and food prep.... not to mention "cleaning as you go".
This cooking series will focus on developing and/or improving independent cooking skills and allowing kids to cook the meal themselves under the guidance of a chef. They will even have input in selecting the following week's menu. Each class will consist of 3 parts:
A brief lecture/demonstration of preparing the food on the menu that day.
Cooking: Working insmall groups on one or more recipes in parallel with the other groups. (When possible, we structure the class to enable all participants to cook all the recipes)
and, of course, sitting down and enjoying the prepared recipe Please dress in casual and comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes.

Kinder Art'n with Sharie Renault
Tuesdays, 2pm-3pm, suggested ages 4-6 SPECIAL HOLIDAY SESSION: 11/29, 12/5, 12/13, 12/20 join us at any session...or take consecutive sessions!
MAKE YOUR HOLIDAY GIFTS! Play with clay, paint, paper & more! Use your imagination and creativity to make fantastic art. As ideas come up, we will take new directions and explore the art process together.

Mixed Medium Art with Sharie Renault Mondays, 3:30pm-5:00pm, suggested ages 6-12 SPECIAL HOLIDAY SESSION: 11/28,12/5, 12/12, 12/19
MAKE YOUR HOLIDAY GIFTS! Experience multiple mediums. You will explore sculpting and glazing with clay, learn drawing techniques, and experiment with different painting styles.

Art for Teens with Sharie Renault Thursday, 4pm-6pm, suggested ages 12-17 12/2, 12/9, 12/16, 12/23 (note: mature teens may also take adult classes)
Take a break & free your creative spirit after a week of academics. Make art using many mediums. Paint your heart out, dig into some clay and sculpt or throw on the wheel. Experiment with textiles.

Mommy & Me with Molly or Marcy
Wednesdays 11am-12pm
Grown-ups, with their little ones ages 1-3, explore art, music and other creative activities together.
