Lin Weber’s career as an artist began five years ago with a photo she took of some reeds in a pond that looked, she thought, like an abstract painting. She bought a small canvas and some acrylic paints and produced her first piece of fine art. Suspecting that she had discovered an untapped talent, she set off with her camera and found a wealth of subjects that interested her, each posing its own challenges. She hired another artist to critique her work, and when they agreed that she had grasped the fundamentals of composition, Lin was on her way.
Her favorite medium these days is water-mixable oils. She is especially fond of landscapes and still lifes of fruits and vegetables, but also enjoys painting dogs, cars, and people at work. Lin is also a published author and historian.
Her books include
