My acrylic paintings on canvas come primarily from my imagination.I will see something in real life and capture that image in my mind. A more dreamlike picture emerges…with more vibrant colors and with simpler shapes or more exaggerated contours.I’ll often scribble a quick sketch ahead of time, but there are always spontaneous alterations as the piece unfolds. I have been told my works have an element of whimsy & mystery; that they invite one to “jump right into them”.I like that.What I hope is that others experience the same feeling of joy and serenity looking at my paintings as I feel in painting them.
