SELF GUIDED TOUR - COMMUNITY PROJECT

Sunday February 11th through Sunday February 25th, 2024

Calistoga Art Center invites you to walk Calistoga and find inspiration along the way.  Beginning Sunday February 11th and through to February 25th, poems and such abound by the dozens along 'the loop' in Calistoga.  Search for poems of all kinds, submitted from all kinds and penned from all kinds.  Find a new favorite or discover a new interest in the power of words. 

We all know that getting outside is good for us, moving outside is even better, reading and thinking in fresh air is downright invigorating. 

SUBMIT your poems using guidelines below. Deadline is February 9th 2024.

Calistoga Poetry Walk - Strengthen your heart and body as you stretch your mind.

The CAC is creating the 4th Annual Poetry Walk, a self guided walking tour of Poetry in Calistoga. We ask you to send in poems that resonate with you and if you want, tell us why. Read the requirements below.

• Poems can be written by you or another author.

• Poems must be credited to the author.

• Poems of all kinds are welcome. You may submit up to 3 poems. If submitting more than one poem, send each as a separate attachment and indicate first choice down.

• Poems must be appropriate for the general public.*

• Poems can be in another language but must also be translated into English.

• Submission files/attachments must be labeled with poem title, choice order (if more than one), author and person who submitted. Important to do this so the submission doesn’t get lost.

Poem documents will be formatted if needed, laminated and hung around parts of the Calistoga ‘loop’, Logvy and Pioneer Parks and downtown Calistoga. You can forward this information and invite others to send in poems.

A word or google document or any file we can cut and paste from is preferable. Photocopies or scans will be hung as is. Please make sure the work is credited.
